This is another illustration for Mind Body Spirit Magazine. Here is my lovely wife. I shot her standing on her toes, then replaced the feet with another shot of her feet dangling to make her look like she’s floating. Solarised that layer to make it all a bit more ghosty. Found a couple of trees in my own library and with a little Photoshop magic I have another little fun illustration.

This is another photo book for English Heritage retail. Mr SWA Newton took a ton of pictures as the Great Central Railway was being built. You don’t need to be a railway nerd to appreciate the splendid photos in this book, It captures the building of the track and rural life around it all. It shows a time lost and a way of doing things that’s gone forever. I had great fun sorting thru all the pictures and laying it out in Quark.

One of several landscape photobooks I designed for English Heritage retail. It is A4 landscape and full of images taken from the NMRC archive and covers the history of Stonehenge since the advent of photography. Very interesting content shows everything from the earliest faked image of the stones to a naked american tourist wielding a flash light for long exposure fun. There’s also a load of hippies and druids! Nice job and Julian Richards was a pleasure to work with. Put together in Quark.

Self initiated piece playing with sepia settings on my new camera. I compared on camera sepia to Photoshop’s sepia. I went with Photoshop’s settings in the end as I could tweak to my satisfaction! I also like to crop close to fill the frame. This way you can follow the curves off the frame as if they were hand crafted.
